This beautiful pen is 24k gold plated hardware matched with en exotic wood specifically called, Bolivian Rosewood.  Bolivian Rosewood is also known as Pau Ferro and is harvested from Brazil and Bolivia.  This wood is typically used for fancy furniture, musical instruments and grips for high end handguns such as the 1911′s.  This specific stock is from Bolivia which has been proven to produce the deeper grain tones and richer colors.

This particular pen is 24k plated Designer hardware matched with Wenge Wood.  Wenge is native to  Congo, Cameroon, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea.  Wenge comes from a tropical timber that is very dark in color with a distinctive figure and a strong partridge pattern.

This pen displays the Satin Gold plating paired with Zebrawood.  Zebrawood is a decorative exotic wood that is only found in Central Africa.  It is a wood with a figure that resembles the striping of a zebra, with dark stripes on a light background.  Zebrawood has been seen as stocks of handguns or in exotic guitars. In the past it was used in Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz automobiles.   Although Zebrawood is considered a threatened species in its native habitat, the blanks used in my woodturning only come from the pruning process to stimulate new growth.

This pen is especially rare for two reasons.  The hardware is plated with Rhodium which is one of the rarest precious metals.  It is a member of the platinum group and is extremely durable.  The second rarity is the Ebony stock that is used in this pen.  It is a  native to southern India and Sri Lanka and parts of western Africa.  The stark contrast makes for a outstanding writing instrument.  Includes an attractive I.D. card which identifies and explains the rhodium plating.

This pen introduces our new Titanium Nitride (TN) finish.  The TN plating looks just like gold and is absolutely permanent. It will even outlast our guaranteed standard gold finishes. All TN pens are stamped with a “TN” indicia on the pen clip to authenticate it’s Titanium status.  This hardware is accessorized with Mahogany.  My stock comes from Asian plantations, notably from India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and from Fiji, in Oceania. Mahogany is truly a classic stock that has been used by woodworkers dating back to the 18th century.

This handsome black enamel hardware is probably our most unique plating due to it’s bold color.  The darker trim brings the unique grain pattern out of the matched stock, Tulipwood.  This particular type of Tulipwood is found on the Eastern side of North America. It is one of our lighter grain patterns used but also has a striking grain pattern that retains the natural beauty of the wood.

The chrome hardware in this pen is matched with Purple Heart Wood from the tropical regions of Central America and South America.  This is a great gift for someone who has been awarded the Purple Heart medal for being wounded while serving with the U.S. military.
